Carbon Reduction Plan
Supplier’s Name: Triple Care Healthcare Services Limited
Registered Office: Pippbrook, Reigate Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SJ
Publication Date: 13th October 2025

Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Triple Care Healthcare Services Limited is fully committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050, in line with the UK Government’s climate change targets and the principles of sustainable healthcare delivery.

Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions represent the greenhouse gases generated before any reduction strategies were implemented. They serve as a benchmark against which future reductions are measured.

Baseline Year: 2025
Reporting Period: Fiscal Year 2024–2025
This is Triple Care’s first Carbon Reduction Plan; therefore, the baseline year emissions are equal to the current year emissions.

Baseline Year Emissions (tCO₂e)

Emission Scope Description Total (tCO₂e)
Scope 1 Direct emissions from fuel combustion in company vehicles and onsite gas usage. 42,000 kg CO₂e (42 tCO₂e)
Scope 2 Indirect emissions from purchased electricity used across offices and supported living sites. 25,000 kg CO₂e (25 tCO₂e)
Scope 3 Indirect emissions from business travel, employee commuting, upstream transport, waste generation, and downstream distribution. 65,000 kg CO₂e (65 tCO₂e)
Total Baseline Emissions 132 tCO₂e

Current Emissions Reporting (2025)
As this is Triple Care’s initial reporting year, current emissions are equal to the baseline emissions.
Emission Scope 2025 Emissions (tCO₂e)
Scope 1 42
Scope 2 25
Scope 3 65
Total 132 tCO₂e

Emissions Reduction Targets
Triple Care Healthcare Services Limited is committed to continuous carbon reduction through measurable actions and regular performance reviews.
Our key milestones are as follows:

Target Year Reduction Goal
2026 Achieve 10% reduction in total carbon emissions through improved energy efficiency and waste reduction.
2030 Reduce total emissions by 50% by transitioning to renewable electricity, upgrading fleet to hybrid/electric, and optimising supply chain logistics.
2040 Achieve 90% reduction through sustainable procurement, zero waste-to-landfill, and carbon offset programmes.
2050 Achieve Net Zero carbon emissions across all operations.

Carbon Reduction Projects
Triple Care has already begun implementing carbon-conscious practices and will strengthen these through the following initiatives:

Operational Energy Efficiency
• Conduct annual energy audits for all supported living sites.
• Install LED lighting, motion sensors, and smart meters across all facilities.
• Ensure all company offices achieve EPC rating B or above by 2026.
• Transition to 100% renewable electricity supply by 2030.

Transport and Mobility
• Introduce an electric vehicle (EV) transition plan—50% of fleet converted by 2030.
• Promote carpooling, cycle-to-work, and electric scooter initiatives.
• Implement route optimisation to reduce staff travel mileage by 20% annually.
• Adopt virtual meeting technologies to reduce business travel-related emissions.

Procurement and Supply Chain
• Source PPE, cleaning materials, and food supplies from certified low-carbon suppliers.
• Encourage bulk purchasing and consolidated deliveries to minimise upstream transport emissions.
• Work collaboratively with suppliers to map and reduce their carbon footprints.

Waste Management
• Implement a comprehensive recycling and composting scheme in all locations.
• Achieve zero waste-to-landfill by 2035 through reuse and recycling partnerships.
• Digitise documentation and maintain a paperless office system.

Engagement and Awareness
• Deliver sustainability training to all staff members.
• Run awareness campaigns (e.g., World Environment Day, Clean Air Week).
• Engage residents and service users in energy-saving practices and waste reduction education.

Long-Term Projects
• Partner with landlords to install solar panels on supported living properties by 2035.
• Pursue ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification by 2028.
• Establish a Carbon Data Monitoring Dashboard for real-time tracking and reporting.

Scope 3 Emissions Coverage
Triple Care recognises the significance of Scope 3 emissions and commits to annual monitoring across the following categories:
1. Upstream Transport and Distribution – emissions from the transportation of goods to service sites.
2. Waste Generated in Operations – emissions from waste disposal and treatment.
3. Business Travel – staff travel for work-related purposes.
4. Employee Commuting – emissions from staff travel to and from work.
5. Downstream Transport and Distribution – emissions from transporting goods and services to end users.
All Scope 3 data will be collected and verified annually in line with the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

Practical Steps for Measuring and Managing Scope 3 Emissions
1. Supplier Collaboration: Partner closely with suppliers to evaluate and minimise carbon emissions linked to the production, packaging, and transportation of purchased goods and services. Encourage suppliers to adopt low-carbon practices and transparency in their own sustainability reporting.
2. Sustainable Travel and Commuting: Establish systems to monitor employee commuting and business travel patterns. Promote remote and hybrid work options, encourage the use of public transport, carpooling, and low-emission vehicles, and implement travel policies that prioritise virtual meetings to reduce unnecessary journeys.
3. Optimised Waste Management: Strengthen waste segregation, recycling, and reuse programmes, while exploring waste-to-energy solutions to divert refuse from landfills and minimise emissions from disposal activities.
4. Lifecycle Sustainability Assessment: Conduct detailed lifecycle analyses of key products and services to identify carbon hotspots and integrate emission-reducing measures across procurement, usage, and end-of-life phases.
5. Digital Monitoring and Analytics: Deploy digital platforms and automation tools such as Normative, Sphera, Emitwise, Carbon Analytics, Greenly, Salesforce Net Zero Cloud, Microsoft Sustainability Manager, and Persefoni, to capture, track, and analyse Scope 3 emission data in real time, ensuring data-driven decision-making and transparent reporting.
6. Continuous Policy Enhancement: Review and update procurement, travel, and operational policies regularly to align with evolving best practices, technological advancements, and national sustainability standards.
7. Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement: Foster active collaboration among employees, suppliers, clients, and community partners to share knowledge, drive innovation, and collectively advance carbon reduction goals across the value chain.
